Tango Argentino Dallas (TAD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to fostering tango as a social dance in the Dallas Metroplex area. Our events are oriented toward a wide audience seeking to dance tango in a social, friendly atmosphere (non-professional). Consistent with this mission, TAD organizes events that emphasize spontaneity and personal improvisation, which are the key elements of the genuine Argentine tango as danced in the clubs and salons of Buenos Aires. The organization, with the support of the Office of Cultural Affairs of the City of Dallas, sponsors monthly milongas (tango parties), workshops taught by Argentine instructors, and Argentine tango orchestras. TAD does not endorse or recommend any local tango instructor or studio in particular. Those seeking tango lessons are encouraged to come to our monthly milongas and contact directly the tango instructors who typically attend.
